Flippin Birds is a black woman owned worker cooperative committed to providing stellar customer service along with made to order high quality food. We prioritize moderate pricing and offer plant based alternatives in a quick service food setting. The worker to owner cooperative model is aimed at nurturing an equitable kitchen culture that renders traditional hierarchical dynamics obsolete. Spearheaded in New Orleans (a city world renowned for its food culture) Flippin Birds cooperative is working towards shattering the existing glass ceiling for foodservice workers by modeling the democratization of the food industry for future co-op members, and the greater community we service through our love of food… in hopes that it becomes pervasive.
